About Me

Stacey Boe, M.A., R.C.C.

she/her

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. With 15 years of experience in mental health, I bring a warm, attuned, and integrative approach to therapy that honours both the emotional and physiological experiences of being human.

My work is rooted in the belief that healing begins not just through problem-solving, but by deepening our relationship to the parts of us that carry pain, protect us from further hurt, and long for something more. I integrate several mind-body modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and somatic awareness, tailoring sessions to each client’s unique story, nervous system, and needs. I also draw from Polyvagal Theory to help clients better understand their stress responses and restore a felt sense of safety in both body and relationships.

I specialize in supporting highly sensitive individuals, those navigating reproductive or postpartum transitions, and people who feel burdened by anxiety, shame, or patterns of over-functioning in their relationships. I also work extensively with individuals whose anxiety has manifested into phobias, intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviours, or struggles with eating patterns. These experiences are often the mind and body’s way of trying to create a sense of control, safety, or connection. I approach these challenges with deep respect for the protective role they’ve played, helping clients gently explore the emotional and physiological roots beneath them.

I hold a deep respect for the sensitivity and strength it takes to seek support. Much of my work is guided by the belief that healing isn’t about becoming someone new, but about reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been overshadowed by survival strategies, societal messages, or past relationships. I offer therapy not as a place for correction—but for reclamation.

In our work together, we may explore not just what hurts, but why it hurts, how it protects you, and what else is possible. Whether you’re navigating identity shifts, grief, relational wounds, or cycles of self-doubt, I offer a space where your sensitivity is not pathologized but understood as a compass. One we can learn to listen to with more confidence and compassion.

I respectfully acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) Nation, within the lands of the Okanagan Indian Band. I remain committed to learning, unlearning, and listening as part of an ongoing process towards reconciliation and relational healing.
